Lower Nihotupu Dam
The Auckland City water supply is fed from a number of reservoirs (and also from the Waikato river). Lower Nihotupu
is one of five reservoirs in the Waitakere Ranges, in Auckland’s West. As one can just see at the bottom of the picture, the water runs over the lip of the spillway, making this 100% full. The website of Watercare Services Ltd
shows that at this moment, overall storage is at 90.16% of capacity, a pretty good situation.
