New Lynn Police Station

New Lynn has a proud heritage of brick and clay, and so it is fitting that its Police Station is a brick building. It has a heritage rating and is described as “stripped art deco” – I don’t quite know the meaning of the phrase (but I don’t think it refers to police procedures).

  1. I like your speculation about the police procedures. It’s got the same look of public buildings in Australia.

  2. A nice police station, best looked at from the outside.

  3. It may be stripped back but it’s beautiful.
