Tomorrow marks the official beginning of summer. And of all the flowering plants, the pohutakawa signals it best. It’s often called the “New Zealand Christmas Tree”.

Beautiful red blossom … not surprised it is known as a Christmas Tree.

This is such a different blossom! I have only ever seen them in photos and am always intrigued by them. Happy summer! 🙂
