Lapwood Spiral

Lapwood Spiral

This is a detail of a large apartment building in Scotia Place, next to Queen Street and Myers Park. It is called “Lapwood Spiral”, presumably a reference to the distinctive spiral stairs, but I know nothing about Lapwood.

  1. Interesting architecture. Hard to see the yellow in this black and white photo.

  2. Hi,
Thank you for the visit and comments; after seeing your work, I am honored.
This works well in black & white; the lines, curves, and shadows make a good abstract..

  3. This is one spectacular set of spiral stair steps. They are appear to just keep going around and around. The curves in the steel are so pleasing to the eye. This is a most interesting and fascinating shot.
