Windows to the Sky

"Sinton Windows" by John Radford (2010)

"Sinton Windows" by John Radford (2010)

The artwork above leads the eye to the yellow pedestrian/cycle bridge which is an overpass of Clarks Lane across State Highway 18. The work is by local artist John Radford, entitled Sinton Windows. It incorporates windows salvaged from Sinton House.

The Hobsobville Deviation (SH18) connects the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to the Upper Harbour Bridge. It was opened in August. In the course of its construction, two historic homes (Sinton House and Ockleston House) were demolished, as they could not be relocated.

    STARFALL

In the sky the stars shine bright
Not by day, but through the night.
Should the stars begin to fall,
There would be no sky at all!
