Wonder Tree

Continuing the autumn impressions: the Chinese Wonder Tree (Idesia polycarpa) becomes more conspicuous with the bright red berries. Soon the leaves will turn yellow, but the red berries will last for some time yet on the bare tree. These trees are found in some gardens and also as roadside planting in some of Auckland’s streets.
