Marktplatz Braubach

Marktplatz Braubach

Following on from yesterday’s shots of silhouettes in Braubach, here a few shots of the charming place. We had taken a detour on our trip from Marburg to Ladenburg, to enjoy the romantic stretch of the Rhine between Koblenz and Bingen. Braubach was the first place where we hit the Rhine, and it was lunchtime. Under sun umbrellas on the Marktplatz, we enjoyed a fine meal with “Pfifferlinge” (chanterelles). Then followed a stroll through the village and the ascent of the hill which is topped by the Marksburg.
