I had noticed the macrocarpa tree a number of times on driving down Titirangi Road: with its carefully carved and painted entrance way for little (well, tiny really) visitors. But you can’t stop by Ava Ave, so I never had a closer look. Until yesterday, when curiosity finally got the better of me. Remnants of glittering fairy dust, white pebbles that might once have been beautifully arranged, perhaps the scene of a children’s party, helped on its way by loving parents or grandparents? We might never find out.
