This was the invitation on the poster, and it came from Lopdell House who are currently in exile in New Lynn while their old building is undergoing “seismic strengthening”. Right in front of their current premises is Todd Triangle (whose brick sculptures by Peter Lange have graced these pages earlier). And all the facilities are there to have a wonderful party.

Tuesday, April 30, was a good date, as it marked International Jazz Day. And the Bourbon St Jazz Band were willing and able to provide great musical entertainment: Peter Fielding (saxophone), Lance McNichol (guitar), Pedro Olding (bass), Rod Redgrave (drums).

Some more pictures are here.

  1. Always fun to shoot musicians, they look very into their music sometimes.

  2. Appreciating the dedication you put into your site and in depth information you present.
It’s good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t
the same old rehashed information. Wonderful read!
