Last night was the opening of the Auckland Studio Potters Annual Exhibition “Fire & Clay” at the Pah Homestead (TSB Bank Wallace Art Centre). The show will run until December 8.

Having spent all afternoon at lunch with friends, then drinks and nibbles followed by speeches at the opening, my sentiments were neatly summarised by Levi in this picture who expressed his feelings rather more openly. Thanks for the shot, mate, creating a island of peace amidst all the crowd!

To prove that I was not completely reduced to people watching, I add an image from the exhibition. Ceramic artist Richard Naylor has featured on these pages before. He had two works accepted into the show. Here a striking collection of “13 Blue Bottles”. And as the red dot shows, it sold right away. Congratulations Richard.

Good post. I learn something new and challenging on websites I stumbleupon every day. It’s always exciting to read content from other writers and use a little something from their sites.

  2. Some people make ever so silly comments. Why on earth do they bother? eh, Maria!
