Tree Man (James Wright)

Tree Man (James Wright)

At 3.5m high, this is one impressive sculpture. Made from Corten Steel by James Wright and part of the Sculpture in the Gardens exhibition at the Botanic Gardens.

From the program notes:

James Wright’s Tree Man stands proud displaying his mana, reaching up to the sky but with his feet firmly rooted in the earth. This work shows the morphing from man to land, respecting and protecting our environment working together as one.

  7. Oh, at the thumbnail i thought it really is a real sculpted or topiarized tree. It can actually be done.
