When we showed the Clarks Lane Bridge on an earlier occasion, we showed some of the clay art that is built into the footbridge. I visited recently again, and found that the artwork had expanded, covering some of the northern approach to the bridge. As a bonus, I also encountered Matt McLean who jointly with his wife Kate is the author of the work – applying a surface finish to the work in the picture above. As noted earlier, the area is steeped in clay history, and the artists combine graphic elements and tracks of a plethora of tyres into an interesting story.
Congratulations on the completion of the work, Matt and Kate!
