Bright Colours in Onehunga

This mural graces a wall at the back of the Onehunga Library. It is accompanied by a large explanatory panel (in the same colours), describing it as reflecting “the cultural diversity and growth within the Onehunga district”. Project artists: Charlotte Graham, Nanette Lela’ulu, Manu Scott; assisted by students from the local community.

I’m impressed that the library selected this type of design. It also looks like it could be translated into pieced quilt. Thanks for contributing to this week’s Monday Mural.
