Jade String Quartet in Rehearsal

As we entered the hall of the Pah Homestead the other day, we found ourselves immersed in the sumptuous sound of strings. It came from the Drawing Room where the Jade String Quartet were in rehearsal. An unexpected bonus to the art on display, the Wallace Art Centre’s comprehensive collection of paintings by Toss Woollaston (1910–1998). The exhibition runs until September 6 and is accompanied by a book with reproductions of the works from 1931 to 1996 and text by Dr Oliver Stead.

The Jade String Quartet will give a concert at the Pah Homestead on Sunday, 26 July, at 5:15pm.

  2. I’ve never heard of this historical place but it sounds like one I need to check out 🙂
