We had a guided tour of the New Zealand Opera yesterday, presently rehearsing Tosca for Auckland performances September 17-27 (Wellington October 10-17). We got to watch some of the chorus rehearsal (no pictures), and got shown the stores and workshop, guided by Technical Manager Steve Crowcroft, ending in the wardrobe room where we got a comprehensive rundown of the many strands that weave together to get a production.…
