Flock of Cranes, Waterview Connection
The Oakley Creek/Waterview area usually boasts numbers of white-faced herons, but now the cranes are roosting here, and they will stay for the long run.
Massive grids of reinforcing steel are manufactured behind the fences, hoisted up on the cranes and buried underground. “Well-Connected Alliance” is the name of the construction consortium, comprising Fletcher Construction, MacDow, Obayashi Corporation, Beca, Parsons Brinkerhoff and Tonkin and Taylor.
