Rainbow Path
Some time ago, the Northwestern Cycleway received a coat of many colours for a short stretch from Unitec (Point Chevalier) towards the west. Nice and cheerful, even without a pot of gold. And it’s there, rain or shine!

Blue
You can’t overlook it in its blue glory: going south along Richardson Road, the intersection with Stoddard Road is dominated by this shade of blue, and then you realise, it is the “Dental Square” (SDS for Stoddard Dental Square). Make a statement!
Huia Road
Officially, winter has already started. But on the first day of winter I was greeted with these beautiful autumn colours as I was driving back from Huia.
Yellow
Yellow appears to be the colour of choice for railings and bridge structures in our area. Cycleway at Waterview: Howlett Esplanade to the left behind the mangroves, Swanson end of the Waitakere Ranges in the distance.
Coral Tree (Erythrina sp.)

Bright Green
This rock in Jenkins Bay, South Titirangi, has grown a fine winter coat.

Hendon Footbridge
The arch of the Hendon footbridge has graced this blog before. But now the bridge is hung, and orange netting shows nicely how the bridge crosses under the single arch.
The bridge was constructed in the context of the extension of State Highway 20. A number of local amenities had to be relocated — now the Albert Eden and Whau Local Boards are looking for new names for the playing fields, and bridges that lie in the corridor.
Swiss Flags
Gunn (of Stavanger Daily Photo) noticed that yesterday’s Swiss Market post was predominantly blue. So I have to balance this with what obviously was the colour of the day: Red.
