Tai Chi at French Bay
Tai Chi at Dawn
Every Wednesday morning at 6:30 the intermediate to advanced Tai Chi class of Quintin Derham meets at the French Bay Yacht Club. The picture shows just a section of the group. If the weather allows, they are outside — what an amazing spot to do your exercises! In rainy weather they are inside, enjoying the same view minus the rising sun. I never got past the beginner stages of tai chi, but I am full of admiration for this disciplined art.

Just after Sunrise Today
Just after Sunrise
I went to French Bay, Titirangi, to see the early morning light. Half an hour after sunrise, the sun disappeared behind this big sheet of cloud, leaving just the glow and the reflections.
