The mellow sun of the late afternoon casts a shadow of the thinning tulip tree onto the brick wall of The Potters Post (strangely, the sign proclaiming the name of the building seems to have disappeared from the front).

I could not resist taking a picture of this flowering Agave attenuata in Parnell, with a fine shadow to boot.

Tangiwai Reserve

Tangiwai Reserve is popular with dog owners, as it is is an “off lead” area. Wet grass after a crisp night, and quite soggy in places. Stately trees — their shadows on the lush grass caught my eye.
