Hendon Footbridge
The arch of the Hendon footbridge has graced this blog before. But now the bridge is hung, and orange netting shows nicely how the bridge crosses under the single arch.
The bridge was constructed in the context of the extension of State Highway 20. A number of local amenities had to be relocated — now the Albert Eden and Whau Local Boards are looking for new names for the playing fields, and bridges that lie in the corridor.

Evening at Waterview
The sun is about to set behind one of the massive pillars that have sprouted around the Waterview end of State Highway 20 (where the tunnel will break onto the surface any day now). For the connection with State Highway 16, numerous on and off ramps have to be constructed.
