Blue
You can’t overlook it in its blue glory: going south along Richardson Road, the intersection with Stoddard Road is dominated by this shade of blue, and then you realise, it is the “Dental Square” (SDS for Stoddard Dental Square). Make a statement!
The Leaf
One of the last leaves on a weeping cherry in our neighbourhood — backlit with many raindrops in the network of twigs.
Te Whitinga (The Crossing)
Te Whitinga (The Crossing) is the name of this new bridge for pedestrians and cyclists. It connects Kukuwai Park and Alan Wood Reserve and will be opened soon. It spans State Highway 20 and the Oakley Creek.
We showed different views at earlier stages of construction here and here.
Photorealistic Graffiti by TakerOne
Murals in Avondale by TakerOne, an Auckland based mural artist of Hungarian extraction (“TakerOne Photorealistic Graffiti”). If you follow this link you can watch a time lapse video of the creation of the camouflage girl with dog. Love it.

Ultimate Thrills
High tension wires at the Taumanu Reserve Bridge, Onehunga.
Brick Wall
The north facing wall of this Watercare service building at the foot of the Lower Huia Dam gets plenty of sunlight year-in and year-out.
Patterns
Having fun with the curves and shadows of the New Lynn substation.

Signs
Motorway signage at the Patiki Road Exit city bound of State Highway 16. The first time that I noticed the logo WR (Western Ring Route – leftmost item for Exit 8B). A dark sky over the city, sunshine in the West.
Karamatura Loop Walk
A popular walk in the bush near Huia.
